Say what you want about Nutt but he can jump start a program better than most. His longevity is questionable but he is one of the best 2 year coaches in the business.

just doesn't fit. Kind of chuckling about the reference to Nutt asking about Connecticut High School recruiting. Now I could definitely see him at USM, UAB or similar school. Same reason I question Arkansas getting a Big 10 coach to recruit the South. No contacts. I just shake my head when schools hire the right coach for the wrong job

The Arkansas coach has done a pretty good job of surrounding himself with coaches who can recruit in the hot spots. They have Florida covered well and have dedicated themselves to recruiting Texas. I think they will do just fine. Petrino left the cupboard bare and John L. Smith tore the cupboard out.

They made a mistake in not retaining Tim Horton who was the best local recruiter, but Arkansas does not have that many D1 athletes so it should not hurt for long.

The Uconn job may be the worst job in D1 right now. Many of my friends are Uconn fans/grads. Almost everyone of them thinks that things are hopeless.

1. There is almost no talent in the state. 3-4 of the state's Top 10 players won't get any D1 offers.
2. They took a huge hit when BC and Syracuse left for the ACC. 3-4 of Connecticut's best players will go to those schools.
3. There is very little talent in any of the other New England states. Thus, almost all of their talent has to be captured from NY, NJ, and other states.
4. All of their natural rivals play in a different conference.
Do unto others before they do unto you!!

Connecticut had 9 high school players sign with Division 1A in 2013 and 6 signed with UCONN. Damn we are so lucky to be in Dallas-we just need a Coach that can reach those kids-we have 18-20 more times players in our backyard, Connecticut had 5 players rated 3+ stars-Texas has 40 times that number

Nutt to UConn sounds bad.
The tv guys said Okie St. has 71 Texans on their roster.
