pretty sure Hart told me last year they would like to build the IPF next to Ford (on Wescott site) to keep football facilities all together. As I recall, a multi-purpose athletics complex was planned east of Central, so there is MAJOR fundraising to be done

He said in another straight from the hart the an indoor all encompassing athletics facility would go where wescot is and they would move the soccer field to pettus

Across central they plan on building admin buildings and graduate dorms and weird stuff like that

How big is regulation soccer field? I don't know if Pettus will hold one.

Yes it will. We had a big long thread about this back in march I think. Someone put up measurements and such. It works. I'll find it later when I'm not being lazy.

Ugh no baseball, such a disappointment. I could honestly careless as I imagine majority of students for the other sports outside of the main 3 (football, basketball and baseball). I guess I'll have to be an aggie fan. For the others on here who like baseball, what team would you root for?

IMHO don't care about the Unis and yet that seems to be the only thing they can actually do

I wanted to give a lot of support to bring back men's athletics teams and improve the very weak women's athletics teams but I have had to change the dream after many years now. I've been giving the support elsewhere.
I can't wait forever.

Yeah I'll root for DBU if they have real baseball team, but golly if DBU can have one and the rest of Texas, how in the hell so we not have one?!

Dbu is d1 and kicks [deleted] regularly. They either beat or nearly beat tcu in ncaas a couple yeara ago

To be honest with you all, I do not like LAX. I grew up around it, and went to Prep school in NE at a big lax school , but it is not my game. Both of my brothers played high level college lacrosse but I never got into it.

That said, it is the fastest growing sport in the US, and NO schools in Texas have teams. We could be the class of the state and region and HP is one of the better HS programs in the nation. The game also really fits our school's demographics and profile. It's a no-brainer and we could really compete quickly at a relatively low cost. I'm surprised we haven't added mens and women's teams already, but it is inevitable.
