Good showing by the SMU fans at American Airlines Center

Post by SMU 86 »

Larry Brown even commented at the post game press conference that he liked that fact that a lot of SMU fans came to the game.

The arena looked empty...not even 1/100 full. TCU did not bring anyone, we brought a few hundred. We will have to wait until Moody reopens and see if we can pack the house!

SMU sold their allotment of tickets. Other schools did not. That is why every seat is not filled. We did very well. If you were at the game you could easily see that.

Since you weren't at the game, how would you know how many SMU brought? I attended the Bama-OU, and SMU-TCU game. Didn't stick around for the Baylor-Colorado game. Probably around 1500 for the Bama-OU game, and that would be stretching it. Probably around 3,000 - 4,000 SMU fans, if I had to guess.

Ticket prices were outrageous. $99 plus carrying charge plus parking is about $250 for 2 sideline seats. Ridiculous. For 3 games maybe but hard to get people interested when there is not a tournament championship only 3 individual exhibitions

Agree 86. It was a good start and I'm glad Mudiay got some love from the crowd.

Mudiay posed for Photos with fans after the game. He got lots of attention during the game with the students chanting "Mudiay, Mudiay, Mudiay!"

I went up and said hello to him.

Seems like a great and humble kid.

You guys do know we are not supposed to be making contact with him don't you? Doing it is one thing. Posting about it is really not smart.

From everything I've seen so far with him he seems very excited and proud to be a mustang.

He posted this gem on his Twitter recently.Image

I'm with mrydel though...let's not shoot ourselves in the foot with the recent success that we've found!

Just ask him for an autograph and it is ok with the NCAA. Heck even pay him for one.

I like that Coach showed the SMU faithful some love...keep 'em coming back for more. No question that a packed and energized Moody will play a huge role in whether they can take this program to the next level
