Stats mean something when it comes from the player giving your team a shot at winning. He made no big mistake today, unlike Romo does with his ridiculous stats. I never saw Hixson or Lamce play, but they did have better players around them than Gilbert does.


I saw both of them play. They had better teammates, but they also played in a Southwest Conference that included outstanding Arkansas teams as well as TX, aTm, Tech, etc.

It's hard to compare the three. Lance was an option quarterback with the Pony Express and Hixson was a drop back passer in a conventional offense with Jerry LeVias.
