Maybe it's where those little on-campus apartments were, next to the Fondren Library parking lot(?)blackoutpony wrote: So that's either where the police station is, the parking lot is, someone's house or that maintenance building.
Gonna guess since Turner hates parking, it's going where the parking lot is....

Re: Gerald Ford Donates Another $15 Million
This is my question. Is there a plan to rennovate the police station? I know they are almost done with the "Data Center" - which is across Mockingbird off Central. I think this would free up some space there. I know the other side (parking lot) I think is already betrothed to the Simmons Education school (2 more buildings to come, 1 of which already has the funding). The corners on the East side of Airline - One is planned as a new school addition (in the future) and planned fraternity houses - which could be scrapped?Tx_Mustang'10 wrote:Maybe it's where those little on-campus apartments were, next to the Fondren Library parking lot(?)blackoutpony wrote: So that's either where the police station is, the parking lot is, someone's house or that maintenance building.

...And that seems to be a theme. There does not seem to be a comprehensive plan. Yes I know there are a bunch of fundraising documents, but there does not seem to be a detailed point by point plan (or status update) on anything, from the campus to the athletic program or academic improvement. I understand the need for flexibility and a litle wiggle room, but plans around here are so loose almost anything could be seen as advancing the ball or an excuse why the ball sits where it does.

Believe the parking lot across the street from the Theta & Tri Delt house is going away so another building can be erected.

My wife is an SMU professor and says this gift is very significant for research support and attracting, and retaining, top-notch faculty. Watch out UT!
