I just like that we begged for alternate helmets, get them, and complain that they won't match our blouses.

That is usually the way I think, but in this case since the helmets are red, I think

Yeah, I was thinking that myself. The red makes sense with UConn's blue.

Is there any chance for them to go with uniforms they had when the 'Miracle on Mockingbird' happened? Huh? The classy cursive UConn uniforms? Heck, we can go with the blue uni's with the blue pony, that would work for me.

BTW, is the school doing anything to commemorate that game. Kinda a big one in our history...

On the helmet, If they've the kind of Chrome Red that we've suggested, I'm cool with it. I do like our white helmets though. I think they're one of the best if CFB.

The players really pushed from chrome or red chrome helmets but were told that there wasn't enough money. instead they wrapped the helmets in red....

No red helmets. The white ones are classic. Don't mess with the helmets. Blue jerseys, though, yes!

Red helmets with red jerseys or white helmets with blue jerseys. I would prefer white helmets with blue jerseys.

Stallion, red on red is the Doak Walker look. I really don't like the Jerry Levias/Hayden Fry look.

SMU wore Red Helmets in the 1960s under Hayden Fry. Jerry LeVias, Chuck Hixson, Mike Richardson, etc. Several of posters have suggested red helmets but they gotta go with the Blue not Red Uniforms. See SMU helmet history
