I hope you realize I agree. I screamed for blue jerseys. I did like the helmets, but the overall look was bad.

obviously that look confused the ESPN announcers as they referred to us as Houston and Rutgers and the Scarlet Knights more than they did SMU

Were we on tv? I don't know since I was at the game. I agree red on red isn't good. I think with those helmets should have been blue jersey or with red jerseys wear blue helmets.

No that's understandable wasn't trying to sound condescending. I truly didn't know since I didn't see it on KTXD. That sucks that the only way to watch it is on an APP.

Would it help for those of you critics, that the coaches urged the players to choose blue jerseys, but they voted for red.

Unlike most Dl schools SMU has only one game helmet. Yes, one compared to even schools in our own conference that have 2-3 helmets!

Well, how can we change colors? A new technique that Hal Mumme came up with when coaching another small school (Abilene) also without an adequate football budget. These are helmet "wraps" that he helped develop. Pretty innovative for a school like SMU that cut back on the football budget this year! Oh sorry, the budget was supposed to be a secret within the Athletic Department!
