Sanders, Yenga, and Seals are a good rotation at OLB. Not sure who is going to be inside. I really think we need to move Prescott over there. Didn't we sign Nate Halverson's brother in this recruiting class, who is a JUCO inside LB?

Edit- yes we did. Scout has him listed as a 3* MLB. 6'2 230 http://smu.scout.com/a.z?s=357&p=8&c=1&nid=6982358

Sidenote- what is Hollie tipping the scales at these days? I think he's listed at 310...he looked MASSIVE on the sidelines today though. Could definitely be 320 or 330

Minor was major today. Not to diminish the rest of the line but he certainly augments our DLine play.

After today's game, I couldn't agree more on both Minor and Nlemchi.

Anyone who plays with the old school neck roll pad is solid in my book. Go Minor!

Hollie looks huge. If he can play to the level of his appearance, he and Minor will be a good start for next year's DL. Who do we have coming back on DL from this year? I am too lazy to look it up.

I believe they're all back- Wood, Wright, and Barnes. Nabushshi is a RS Frosh along with Minor

If KC can block, then he's the guy..if not, we can't risk GG, since he IS the offense, and we stick with PL until we need to run out the clock like today.

Very excited about Minor.

The coaching staff is slowly bringing him along. And they need to.

His big play for a LOC was a fire stunt. That's a called D play, not unusual defensive instinct.

He was a beast with one rushing technique, Bull rush to the inside. USF will kill us after they watch game film and see his one act. They will break contain to his side for big yards unless he develops more rushing technique and learn his job isn't to rush the passer the same way every time and he needs to maintain contain.

He was blown off the line too many times on rushing plays. Except for the fire stunt, he was ineffective against the rush.

He will be absolutely great. What he needs is more coaching, more experience and more intelligent play. It is clear he was an incredible HS player and never had to expand his game. Now he does. And when he does, he is going to be fantastic.

By the way, Minor needs to clean up his Twitter account. Good grief. His location is listed as "inside your girlfriend."

NFL scouts monitor all of that stuff meticulously. You'd think these kids would know better

So would we have the depth to run a 4-3 even though we know it won't ever be anything but 3-4?

The extent of Hollie's resume is that he is a big kid with nice size and weight. We've seen enough of Minor on the field to see he has great potential and his high school resume shows he was probably one of the top senior DEs in the entire state of Texas. I don't know why they are being mentioned together. Hollie looks like a developmental project to me-when he actually does something then you can praise him.

I hope he can develop. The 3-4 is so much more effective with a massive nose tackle who can eat up space and blockers. He has the prototypical size to do so.
