I get criticized by many in this forum for being a "delusional ponyfan"...but I am one of the few that shows SEC Style support for my school! I talk SMU whenever we talk college ball in my office. I have SMU banners in my office, home and in my cars every saturday whether we play or not. I have 6 SMU Tervis cups which I rotate and bring to work with my morning coffee. I wear SMU gear even when going to TCWho for football games. (and stop giving me crap about that) I wear SMU gear to work every Friday, rotating between the polos, long sleeve SMU shirts and tshirts on jean fridays.

I get criticized by many in this forum for being a "nutcase"...but I am one of the few that has never been laid by a girl! I talk about TCU and stuff that's already been discussed whenever we talk college ball in my office. I have three blow up dolls in my office, home and in my car every day whether TCU wins or not. I have 6 different tampons which I rotate and bring to work with my morning strawberry frap. I wear TCU gear even when going to my boyfriends for football games. (and stop giving me crap about that) I wear TCU gear to work every day, while rotating between usernames on ponyfans, and long sleeve Justin Bieber shirts and Miss Me jeans on fridays.
From DMN, this should help you understand why Rally a House sticks four t shirts in the corner near the fire exit: "According to recent poll numbers from Public Policy Polling, among those surveyed, 22% of fans [in Texas] identify themselves Aggies and 20% as Longhorns. This is a considerable shift from the last time this poll was conducted in September of 2011, when the Longhorns had a 23% to 15% lead over the Aggies. ....
Other schools that received votes: 10% for Houston, 8% for Baylor, 5% for Texas Tech, 4% for TCU, 3% for UTEP and 2% for SMU."

There you go again. Your mom doesn't like it when you behave like that.

Thanks man! I want everyone to catch on! People ask me about how SMU is doing, and I even had an older gentleman stop me and say: "Wait, SMU is BACK!?!?!" with a smile on his face...until I told him we weren't there yet, but we will.
I wear SMU shirts & hats fairly often as well. I watch every game, and try not to ever miss a home game. Every college football fan I talk sports with knows that I'm an SMU guy. I live in north Fort Worth, but fly an SMU flag in front of my house. My daughter is 6, and she points out pony logos when she sees them, and even starts cheering "SMU" when literally ANY football game is on TV. So yeah, we need more of this type of support from our students and alumni.
However, to really drive excitement to the overall Dallas area, we need to win consistently, and we need some marquee wins more than just once every 6-8 seasons. If we can start at least splitting the series with TCU every year, and knock off a Tech or someone like that every other season, and actually put together some back-to-back 10 win seasons, THEN you'll start seeing the city of Dallas start taking notice. Obviously, all this is easier said than done.
I wear my SMU stuff around Charleston/Mt Pleasant all the time and have converted some "closet SMU fans". Most are Clemson or S. Carolina fans, but they tell me that my enthusiasm for SMU has got them watching SMU games when they come on and always watching the ticker to see how we are doing. I think they feel my pain
