Saw some TCU friends Saturday night who came into town from Fort Worth for a birthday party. They saw the Reunion Tower ball lit up in blue and red with the letters S M U revolving around the ball and were very impressed. They thought it was very cool that Dallas would do that. Of course one of the Hunts owns the Reunion tower so I would hope he would do something like that. 
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
