OLINE: B Not bad for the most part, but GG got hit more than he should
QB: A- Gilbert had a good game overall as usual, but for some reason (at least to me) he looked slower on his reads and seemed to lock in on receivers at times.
RBs: C+ Nlemchi did well, Prescott only so-so. KC needs to be on the field a lot more
WRs: A- Slow start, but overall pretty solid
DLINE: B+ Looked better and got pretty good push
LBs: C our run defense is terrible, but we got to the QB a few times
SECONDARY: C- as bad as our run D is, our pass is worse
SPECIAL TEAMS: C no huge returns, but no bone headed mistakes either. Loftus can't find consistency with his punts with a map and compass.
Thanks man.

Defense blows. Gilbert was very good. KC looked good. UConn is awful.
Youre welcome.

Back off Warchild seriously.

Can we make cute and cutting remarks now?

I dread to think what the "minimum" for cute and cutting remarks on PFs is....

Re: Synopsis of thoughts on the game?
Played four solid quarters.
Vastly reduced our penalties.
Field position was an issue. They seem to benefit more from the wind than we did.
Special teams were better.
GG was solid.
Running game was by committee and slightly improved.
Better Red Zone execution on offense.
No turnovers and two interceptions (though both were late in the game, one sealed the game).
No blown coverages leading to cheap TDs.
Overall a better execution of the game plan.

QB: A-
To say Garrett Gilbert has been the team's MVP would be an understatement. Still an uphill climb to get a bowl bid, but imagine where we would be without him (and that's not meant as an insult to Burcham ... we just don't know what we have there yet).
RB: B-
I'm with those who want to see more of Nlemchi, like 20 carries.
OL: C-
GG only got sacked twice, but they had too much pressure for a team that had what, 6 or 7 sacks coming in?
DL: B
I thought Zach Wood played his best game. I have a hard time grading the NTs, because I still don't really understand the specifics of what they're asked to do. But Wright seemed to be at the bottom of every pile, and when the ILBs get that many tackles, someone in front of them is doing a good job. I agree that the backups are behind (that's why they're backups), but Barnes and Wood have come along nicely after watching and getting spot duty for a couple of years. Nabushosi, Smith, Minor, Reed and McCleneghen have had their moments, and hopefully have a lot more on the way.
LB: B-
Joyner, Pope and Sanders are studs, and Yenga is getting there, but we got little from the guys behind them.
Secondary: C+
Parks dropped what should have been an interception on a pass that was low but catchable. Darrion Richardson did a really nice job in his first game. Scott and Randolph didn't get torched but also didn't make big plays. Acker is a stud. Horace Richardson and Ajee Montes are going to be really good before they graduate.

Nose tackles should help open lanes for LB to make plays in the running game and create one-on-one matchups for the DEs by drawing a double-team from the center and guard on pass blocks. If you see those results in the game, he is doing his job.

Re: Synopsis of thoughts on the game?
So how many int's has Gilbert thrown since the TCU game? Amazing performance. Maybe it does take some time in a new offense but wow now. We have a chance every game with him at QB.
Re: Synopsis of thoughts on the game?
we have almost no chance every game with our d.
they even made uconn look somewhat decent.
