shocked that SMU made the cut, congrats to their staff for what is evidently a good job of recruiting. I think BU has the lead of the two in-state schools, but Indiana and UNC are two teams that i think will be there at the end. maybe he'll choose Baylor for the location, coach, and conference trifecta and join Kevin Rogers for a few more years of high flying action.

Rogers, Arthur, Dugat, and possibly Sonny Weems - that'd be sick

BTW I know a few of you go to this site because I've heard you mention it. Its a really interesting site-very active probably gets more posts per day than this one. But what really makes it interesting is that it appears Kelvin Lewis, Darrell Arthur and other big time AAU players and coaches actually post on the board. I hesitate to post that since I fear our local cheerleaders are going to go there and post how NEAT-O and SWELL it would be if these guys would go SMU.

I've never really seen any SMU homers over there, which is good. There are a few TCU and Baylor goobers trying to talk up their programs, but it just sounds ridiculous. And youre right, lots of coaches and players speaking their minds over there.

To me, the interesting point of the article is that he has chosen to wait until the spring. He has firm offers from his "colleges of choice" so why is he waiting? UNC and KU both have offers out to other big men rated in the top 15 in the country so why wait? These type of programs will move on and sign the kids who are ready to commit now - not to say that they couldn't scrounge up something if he called and said he was coming.

Possible scenarios: he really wants to go somewhere else that currently isn't showing much interest, prep school to prepare to enter the draft after next year, or go to the NDBL.

Good point. Far preferable that you talk him out of coming here.

And what is wrong with being proud of your alma mater?
I'll say it here. It would be NEAT-O and SWELL if they came to SMU.
There. That's out of the way. Hope I didn't ruin your day.
