As is common with ligaments. Nothing is certain until an MRI is had.

Doctor talk. I knew what I had done both times when I did it. Before MRI.

Well I don't know about that. My surgeon already knew what was wrong with me well before the MRI using standard diagnostics.

Gilbert left with 1:21 to play in first half when he hurt his left knee while attempting to slide while running the football and was assisted off the field. Gilbert, who was 19-for-23 for 138 yards and one interception, was replaced by Burcham.

"The doctor thinks he just has a sprain, so that's good," SMU coach June Jones said. "So it just depends on how long it will be before he can support it and throw off of it. I think that he'll be OK."

Gilbert entered the game leading the nation in total offense at 405.7 yards per game. Over his previous five games, the senior was even more productive, averaging 459 yards with 17 touchdowns and just one interception.

SMU (5-5, 4-2) has won four of its past five and can become bowl eligible by winning one of its remaining two games. The Mustangs travel to Houston before finishing up at home against AAC leader Central Florida.

"That will be iffy," Jones said of Gilbert's status for the Houston game. "But it's not torn so that means he'll be back."

backup QB could be Kolney Cassel (true freshman) or Garet Krstich (walk-on). I don't think Connor Preston has been cleared to play all year. There is also some other JUCO kid that walked on (Austin Kent). Lets just all hope for the best w/ Gilbert and that he can play.
Back off Warchild seriously.

It must have been horrible to be an athlete before ACL repairs were possible.
