I'm fine with that considering you guys have lost your last three games.

You just really don't know when to shut your mouth do you? There is no [deleted]' line-got it. They take the Line off the Board when the Star QB's injury status is uncertain. The fact you are so clueless that you actually believe that Vegas would have this game EVEN with Burchum as the likely starter in Houston shows you don't know [deleted] about College Football.

As others have suggested you need to back off on this board and follow this sage advice:

AAC doesn't have a tie-in to the Heart of Dallas Bowl. I've heard North Texas mentioned with regard to that Bowl

If I am reading this correctly, UH is a seven point favorite in two books but most books don't have a line on it. http://nflodds.usatoday.com/odds/usatod ... aspx#ncaaf

I don't think there is any chance we see Gilbert out there on Friday night. Knowing that I fully expect UH to be very aggressive defensively and force Burcham to make adjustments and quick decisions on the fly. Our defense is going to need to play its best game of the season for us to have a chance to win. If we had Gilbert I'd think we would have a very good chance of winning, but without him I don't think we'll be able to score enough to win the game.

If the Big 10 gets 2 BCS bids then they won't have a team for that slot.

If Gilbert plays - SMU is #7 in pass offense, #116 in pass defense.

Houston #26 in pass offense, #117 in pass defense (although their pass efficiency defense is way ahead of ours).

Shootout type of game.

Without Gilbert, it is going to be really difficult for our offense to keep up with theirs. Tons of pressure on Burcham. This could be a get-them-back game for last year.

Either way, the Acker-Greenberry matchup is going to be awesome.

We need to score 30 to win IMO. Burcham is going to need to play out of his mind.

I suppose that is a plausible mistake to make, but the funniest part was him pushing back when Stallion politely told him that he was just seeing the fact that a line had not been set yet.

Things we must do to win:

Acker must lock down Greenberry. Dat' dude is a beast, but Acker has NFL-type skills. That matchup will be fun to watch.

Burcham must play mistake-free football at the QB position. Can't play like a RS frosh. We may be seeing the Burcham-O'Korn matchup for years to come. O'Korn has more games under his belt at this point.

D Line must create some pressure. Sacks would be great, but we need to be in O'Korn's face all day. Agreed that Minor should be let loose.

WRs must catch the ball and get YAC. No drops, no fumbles. We need to win TOP, and only way we do that is converting 3rd downs and keeping the ball.

RBs - whoever plays, no fumbles, no missed blocks at the line. I fear we may see the Nlemchi screen pas 15 times in this one, just to get Burcham some confidence.
