Since I live in Dallas, I will consider a game in Frisco an away game. Tailgate and football for me although wish I could do both.

I hate to break it to you but we won't be in the hunt for a conference title in basketball either. Not this year.
Back off Warchild seriously.

Probably right but I am still supporting them. I like the direction they are going and they have a coach that wants to be here.StallionsModelT wrote:I hate to break it to you but we won't be in the hunt for a conference title in basketball either. Not this year.

I'd take an 11am kickoff on ESPN every Saturday. Great exposure for the program...doubtful this happens, but it would be nice if we promoted this one some- Top 15 team coming in, GG and other seniors last game, maybe playing for a chance to make a 5th consecutive bowl appearance...not as much competition for entertainment in Dallas that day (esp. at 11).GiddyUp wrote:Gee - no surprise on start time
I realize that a lot of us are concerned about the future of the program, but if we beat UCF on ESPN to secure a fifth consecutive bowl appearance that would be pretty cool. We can all lament about how there's 100 bowl games now and they're easy to get into, but making five in a row is still a nice achievement considering where we've been for 25 years.
I bet fans of TCU, Florida, or Tennessee would like to see their teams playing for a shot at a bowl game on December 7th

With an 11AM kickoff that means BLVD Dunkin Donuts, Mimosas, Bloody Mary's, & Irish Coffee. Maybe Bus will be serving pancakes, waffles, and crispy bacon? BEAT UCF!

As a football and basketball season ticket holder, not sure which team to support that day. Maybe since the basketball game is on ESPN3, the school can work to get it moved to later in the day............East Coast Mustang wrote:I'd take an 11am kickoff on ESPN every Saturday. If we lose to Houston this week I'll go to the basketball game. If we beat Houston this week, I 'might' go football. 11am means less than 5k in stadium.

One would think ESPN would accomodate us on this. I feel for the BB team which will get 500 fans, if even that many.PonySnob wrote:As a football and basketball season ticket holder, not sure which team to support that day. What SMU should try to do is have the BB game delayed and tell anyone with a FB ticket they can attend the BB game for free. I would even have buses at Ford to provide round-trip transportation to and from Garland.

Is this where the MBB game will be played on 12/7 ? http://www.drpepperarena.com/ If so, I didn't find a single mention of the game or SMU anywhere on the site.

SMU should be working around the clock, inviting every high school band, youth group, churches, AA groups, gamblers, jailbirds, crips, bloods, hood rats, Christians, athiest, dog lovers and their dogs, preppies, preppers and anyone with a pulse to sit on the eastside. ESPN game, our warts will be on display for the nation to see.
