OL Chad PursleyHey all,
UNT fan here. I know I'm late on this but i'm an active member of gomeangreen.com and thought i'd give ya'll some info on your Offensive line recruit Chad Pursley. He's my cousin(unfortunately couldn't sway him to UNT) and he seems to have gotten bigger over the summer. He's got really good speed and footwork for a lineman and is a starter for the Mansfield Legacy basketball team too as a center. His team plays in Jerryworld this Friday and I plan to go see them. Looking forward to our future series against each other. Also I work right across from campus and the new dorms y'all built around the stadium are looking really good. Best wishes! -Chris
Re: OL Chad PursleyThanks for the info and welcome to the board. I warn you it's a little testy on here these days. I am really looking forward to the start of our series, y'all have built a great stadium up there, infinitely better than the one across 35. And Denton is a good town for pre and post game beverages.

Re: OL Chad PursleyWell we just lost to a 3rd year football program at UTSA so you can imagine what it's like over there right now. Personally I think he still has a few more pounds to gain to stay on the line, I think he's been played at tight end before and that's another possibility. Here's a recent picture of him (keep in mind our family is not short), dyed hair for playoffs

Re: OL Chad PursleyCongrats on being bowl eligible.
I can remember is wasn't too long ago we were so excited to get bowl eligible. I hope we make it this year also. All the metroplex D1 programs play in post season bowls except TCU, fun stuff. Just send 'da money.
Re: OL Chad PursleyWelcome to the board and congrats on your season. Should make the upcoming series interesting.
Pony up!

Re: OL Chad Pursley
He's at 260 right now. Thanks guys, good luck reaching bowl eligibility. Sucks that there isn't a scenario where UNT and SMU could play each other in the Heart of Dallas bowl. On a side night Chad is a good kid and i'll be in the area to keep an eye on him so i'll make sure he only get's too drunk to play the night before the SMU vs. UNT games ![]()
Re: OL Chad PursleyYeah, a key part of that scenario would be us winning 6 games, which doesn't look likely...
Re: OL Chad Pursleymy son locked horns with Pursley all day yesterday and said he was easily one of the strongest guys he has faced, including and long arms too. And he was a good guy/clean competitor. Look forward to having him at SMU.
Re: OL Chad Pursley
good to hear
Re: OL Chad Pursley
Your son's team looked very good. Good luck to them against Wylie.
Re: OL Chad PursleyMy son's on that team too. Trying to figure out who Hoop Fan is. Clyde?
Re: OL Chad Pursley
i sent you a PM, no not Clyde, but i'd take that Clyde kid as my son any day of the week. what a baller. he had a foot injury the other night, hope he is 100% for Jerrod Heard and Denton Guyer on Saturday. May be our chance to beat a Longhorn.
Re: OL Chad PursleyJust PM'ed you back. Just for the board, Hoop's son had a helluva game the other night. Was nominated for the TXA21 and Children’s Medical Center High School Football Player of the Week
