good list. Speaking of Levias, I'd like to see a tribute to him somewhere at Ford. We should celebrate that more and inform players
and recruits of SMU heritage.

I completely agree about celebrating past players particularly Levias who was not only a fantastic little gamebreaker but the first black scholarship player in SWC history.

We should have all the old lettermen we can get out to the opening of Ford.

P.S.
The asterisk next to Bordano signifies that I chose him over two-time all-SWC LB Gary Moten

No room on the list for Jason Wolf? I realize he played during some lean years, but he's the all-time leader in receptions for the now-defunct Southwest Conference, and he always managed to get open, even against DB's who were bigger or faster. And if the ball went his way, he ALWAYS seemed to make the catch.

I would be tempted to put Chuck Hixson in there at QB. I would also work Craig James in at punter. He was an all-SWC punter in 1982, I believe.

Hell, even a second team backfield of Hixon, Wayne Morris, Frank Eidom and Reggie Dupard would make most people drool and that's leaving out Bobby Wilson, Alvin Maxson, Craig James, Mike Richardson, Johnny Roderick and Gary Hammond!

Other additions: Joe Stutts LB, Bill Jackson OL, Bruce Portillo LB, Mac White QB, Jim Livingston DB, Tom Gentry E, Logan Stollenwerck B, Harry Shuford B, Clyde Carter T

Mike Livingston might also be a QB candidate for that team. Ray Schoenke OL played in the NFL for about 100 years with Redskins. And the BIGGEST OMISSION Raymond Berry at Wide Receiver.

Fun stuff. But the biggest problems with these types of lists is the size and speed increases in athletes over the years. It's apples and oranges.

[deleted] Hightower was All-American at center. I would consider him for the Offensive line. John Simmons isn't mentioned but he was an All-Amercian at cornorback. Also, 2 time All American at fullback (and member of the SMU National Chapionship team) Harry Shuford. Where is Oscar Roan (Time mag All-American) in this? And definitely Putt Choate.

Raymond Berry had a very modest college career. Even though he is a pro great, he wasn't a noted standout in college.

Champ Dickerson was a pretty good LB in the '70s too as I recall.
