We should fire June at halftime. No one can offer a defense of this game so far. Mustangsabu's response was to attack me instead
Your thread is an attack on other fans. I'm simply calling out that fact. You are a great fan of the ponies from what I have seen but I don't like when fans turn on other fans. This game is very strong evidence that our kids are not being well prepared. This is a bad uH team and we are beating outselves.

I agree that Houston does not look very good and it's easy to see how they've lost 3 straight games...but this is by far the worst we've looked all season...or at least since the 1st half of Rutgers game

Can't we all just agree June Jones sucks and should have been canned 5 games ago. Keeping him in has been a disaster. 5-6 inbound.

I should have voiced my Opposition to this thread more politely. For that I apologize.
This is the worst performance I can remember from SMU. The penalties are not NB's fault. That's all coaching. But NB is making very poor decisions right now. Would have been nice to have a pleasant surprise, but no.

You and I have a lot of common ground. I agree with your post.

Also NB is illustrating right now my comment about his football smarts. He shoots blindly and trusts his arm way too much. I think he will be better junior year but unfortunately that means next year looks scary.

Looking like vintage Bo Levi especially with those WTF throws into heavy coverage.

I think what you are calling smarts, I call experience. Burcham has smarts. He knows what he is supposed to do and how to do it. He just has not had the experience at this level and this speed. This is why I have always felt Jones needs to get the backup QB in the games some during the season. Burcham will grow up a lot today and I still believe he will be a good QB, but today he is a high school QB against a college team.

Possibly interchangeable, my point is the thinking before you throw. I understand that comes with experience which is why I suggested his junior year, he will be much better. I completely agree with you on JJ not giving him experience being a fatally flaw to our team. JJ needs to go.

If it takes beatings like the one we're getting today to convince the administration/CoC to let JJ go, then maybe this is best in the long run. But it's depressing.

How many such beatings does it take?
The next HC contract needs to contain a do not embarrass the university clause

But where is our somewhat experienced junior or sophomore backup QB. Our QB goes down and all we have is a RS freshman? JJ's recruiting fault. He has to go!!!!
Just send 'da money.

Burcham missed the wide open safety valve on 3rd down
