Women vs. the other UTOuch. I guess its a good lesson on how big a mountain we have to climb. With Louisville, Rutgers and UConn on the menu this year, its going to take a huge effort by the Lady Mustangs.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
Re: Women vs. the other UTyes; welcome to big time women's basketball
Re: Women vs. the other UT87-47 - totally different league and we aren't even close
Re: Women vs. the other UTMaybe if there were more billboards.
Re: Women vs. the other UTIt seems like a lot of people are giving Rhonda a free pass. But she has had about 2 1/2 recruiting classes to get ready for top level teams since it was known that we were going to the new conference. I don't think anyone minds getting beat if we are competitive but getting beat by 40 by UT with UConn on the horizon does not bode well.

Re: Women vs. the other UTDon't rock the boat. Nobody cares about women's hoops, she's good enough, and she likes being here. We have enough trouble w/ football and men's hoops.
Re: Women vs. the other UT
I care about women's hoops. Just because you like being somewhere doesn't mean you should be there. Hart goes bragging about going 7-0 against a bunch of nobodies and then they get totally blasted by a good team. Again no problem in losing but not like that. There are other coaches that would like to compete and could compete against the UConn's of the world in women's hoops. If Baylor can do it so can we because we are in a premier women's hoops conference. Last edited by Rebel10 on Sat Nov 30, 2013 12:35 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Re: Women vs. the other UTShe has had 2 good recruiting classes...she will get there. The two tall sisters from Australia should help a lot....
Re: Women vs. the other UT
You think 2 1/2 classes are enough time to transform from top CUSA to top 15 talent? Newsflash: Tennessee and UConn have dominated women's basketball for 20+ years. Even after five recruiting classes, the challenge will still be incredible.
Re: Women vs. the other UTDallas is in one of the hotbeds for women's basketball talent. She needs to keep the top girls from leaving for UT and Tennessee!
Re: Women vs. the other UT
1. Her last 2 recruiting/transfer classes were leaps and bounds better than what we were able to bring in as a CUSA member, with a few notable exceptions like Dodds. 2. Who are we going to get that will be better? 3. She won the conference regular season title last year. It's not a "free pass" when you are adding to the trophy case. 4. The talent pool in women's bball is much shallower than in men's, leading to a much larger gap between the elites and everyone else. There are 30 point wins even in the late rounds of the NCAA tournament. All of that is not to deny that we have a need to improve, but let's be realistic here.
Re: Women vs. the other UTWe are now in a major hoops conference for women's. I say if she gets jacked up in conference for a couple of years call someone like Nancy Lieberman. Anyway, we'll see.
