Stallion wrote:and that is said about UT, Tech, TCU and Baylor. I like Texas college football. I have zero connection with TCU-just its interesting that SMU has a probable BCS level Top 25 team coming to Dallas next week to play SMU looking for a Bowl game and there are all kinds of fans predicting 3,000 in the stands and not bothering to show up
BU is a much bigger draw than UCF, rankings aside 11am kickoff vs 2:30 kickoff 10+ yrs of sustained success & BCS bowls vs. 4 yrs of "meh" bowl games and no top 25 rankings That's just three off the top of my head. Look, I agree our fan support sucks but to compare the two games is a stretch...also, we will have more than 3K in the stands (at least until UCF blows it open)

Baylor is also a better draw than Montana State.

the eternal quandary. SMU fans don't want SMU to play the teams we must in order to be financially stable

Don't agree- maybe some fans don't want to play 'competitive games' and prefer all OOC game be patsies but a lot of us want to play and be competitive with our old conference mates (SWC). Those teams will draw crowds not the ones that people haven't heard of or care anything about. IMO good coaching, good recruiting and good game planning can make us competitive if not winning some of those games once in a while.

A high camera shot shows there actually are a lot of empty seats at TCU. They are colored purple so do not look empty from distance shots. Reminded me of Ford 104.

There are more TCU fans in that stadium than SMU fans at any SMU game in 30 years. Bowl ineligible Thanksgiving weekend

When I first took a look, from a distance it looked full. Closer shots show a lot of empties. I do not remark much more than that about attendence since ours sucks so badly.

End zones appear to be students and they look full, and it is a holiday period.

Thought students at TCU sat behind the visitor's bench?
