Department of Everything is Relative and Small ConsolationStop and think about it, now matter how sick we are about yesterday's loss, none of us feel as dejected as Alabama fans tonight.
Re: Department of Everything is Relative and Small ConsolatiThe SMU win over aTm in hoops makes this a really encouraging day.

Re: Department of Everything is Relative and Small ConsolatiWas with a friend who went to Bama watching the end of that game. It was like a close relative unexpectedly died. He was beyond stunned/saddened. No one really wants to talk to him or ask him about it, we're just waiting for him to open up

Re: Department of Everything is Relative and Small ConsolatiIt's hard to win at Auburn...and Alabama is no exception to that rule
Re: Department of Everything is Relative and Small ConsolatiThe other side of the coin is that for Auburn fans - and one of my sons married a girl from an Auburn family - it was like being an SMU fan at the 1949 SMU & Notre Dame game, except with a real rather than a moral victory. I was at that game in the Cotton Bowl sixty-four years ago and am now seventy-five years old. My son and daughter-in-law and two youngest grandchildren were at Jordan - Hare yesterday. I am sure the kids will have memories when they are my age.
Maybe my grand kids will be like me - always for whoever Notre Dame, Texas, and Alabama play each week. But I digress. Go Ponies!
Re: Department of Everything is Relative and Small ConsolatiNo sympathy for Alabama at all. They have had a life time of success in the last 6 yrs.
