I thought we included all season ticket holders in announced attendance? Seems to me like we have less then 3k then

Bummer I remember reading on here we thought we were well past 3k

I'm nearly positive they are as well. I'm perplexed. There's more than 3K season ticket holders I'm quite certain. I mean, [deleted], they've nearly sold out the UConn game already. The tickets that went on sale to donors the other day were for the last few rows of the baseline sections. I know they have some held back, but that to me indicated at least 5K are gone easy. And that was the first they've been available to donors/season ticket holders. Meaning the public hasn't touched that game yet.[/quote]

Just curious! What was the announced crowd? Probably around 1,000 at tip-off, and probably 1/2 that in the 2nd half. Felt like I was at church, cause it was a dead crowd too. Wasn't even comparable to Sam Houston, Rhode Island, Texas St. . .

Thought the A&M victory, and the later start time would bring out a few hundred extra fans. . . Apparently not! SMU just needs to get back to Moody before people start showing up. . . I HOPE!
If you had stayed to the end you would have seen the crowd and the bench blow up when Wilfong Dunleavy and Mudiay came in and Wilfomg immediately hit a basket. The crowd went nuts. Same thing happened when Dunkeavey scored. Fun to see the team standing up on the sideline cheering their teammates and the crowd joining in. Good stuff.

Maybe it's something like 3,500 full season tickets and the Moody home games mini-pack are counted as "season tickets" but can't be counted for full season ticket attendance at Culwell?

I'll bet you're right. They would count those as half-season tickets. A lot of teams use that as a metric to measure number of season tickets sold. There's no way there was possibly 3,200 in the gym tonight, right? How many does the Culwell even hold? Looked like there might be 500 there tonight but it's not like ESPN zooms around the crowd that much.

Culwell Center holds 6800. There was a decent crowd tonight as in comparison to other nights.

I think about 6500. This was probably the smallest crowd by my estimation. Maybe a 1000.

Yeah I would guess 1000 tonight.

So LB had Manuel at the point and Nic in the wing for the first 5 of 2nd half, then started throwing players into different spots. I'm guessing this was some experimentation/test/practice? Was this discussed above?

Probably to develop depth. There is no back-up PG at the moment, someone needs to learn those responsibilities. That would be my guess. Game was already in hand so just working on getting better.

So I guess the 1,000 there answers how they counted. Must be 3,200 full season ticket holders then...

Not the smallest-that was the Sunday game when icy conditions were predicted.

LHS81, just poking a little fun at you. But it was still cool to see the crowd and team react when the end of the bench guys went in.

I really love to see the team interaction. I think it says a lot about the character of guys we have in this team and how the coach has molded them into a tight knit group.

Manuel played a ton of point last year for us, so I'm sure it's just reps as you said. I actually like him more as the back up than Russell, but backup by committee seems to be the plan

You woulda thought someone got dunked on based on the crowd and team's reaction to their baskets.

Looked to me that he was working on a number of things to start the 2nd half. They also ran about five plays in a row for Williams at one point. I assumed it was to try to get him jump started.
