So, on one hand we're upset that June is talking about the contract, and on the other, we're complaining that Rick Hart won't talk about it.
Would it better to not say a word? Or to come out-right and say he's staying? Or to come out-right and say he's leaving?
I'm pretty sure, in all cases, someone's gonna come crying about it here on PF.

...or the fact that a movie is being filmed in our locker room and FB offices...
Hart better grow some brass ones...or maybe he can borrow them from Alec Baldwin in Glengarry Glen Ross!

If I recall correctly, Sandusky at Penn State had a ministry, but he called it a foundation. Not implying that JJ has a bent for boys, but the mindset of the two A-holes is the same. IMHO

Re: This is what hacks me off about June
Do you guys really think this is AD decision. Say Hart decides to keep June but can't find 2,000,000 to pay salary. Say Hart decides to fire June but can't find 2,000,000 to pay-off his contract. Is the C. of C. obligated to pay that cash now? I don't know. Maybe they have committed to his Final Year but there is no buyout for 2015 and they have refused any future commitment to June. Very possible. But to me it seems much more complicated than just an AD decision because we are talking about other people's money-not SMU's money. Isn't the decision likely determined by the C of C?

Thank you for that. That is how I would see it. If the CofC does not want to have to pay for the buy out and if Hart wants them to continue support in the future, they had best be working together. It is a difficult thing to have to manage others' money when they can pull it at any time. I would think 2 years with no buy out in the 2nd may be as good as they could do at this time. Still does not mean that June will not leave on his own and it does not mean that there is not an understanding he will leave if he does not make 6 wins.
