Sorry Alyssa. Been posted. Good find. Not good for he conference in my estimation. As bad as we got it at least we are somewhat stable sports wise.

Oh sorry. No problem. I just checked my emails and I didn't read through the site. I got the information from other runner athletes like me. Every time a running program is dropped it feels tragic. Una piccola morte.

Temple had 24 sports. We have like 16. I thought you needed at least 14 (7men 7 women) sports to be considered D1. That's why we're stable sports wise; no room to drop. Do we even have 7 men's sports? Maybe our male horses count as men on the equestrian team?

Ha. The division I minimum is six men's sports which is what we have.

It is wild to see some of these schools with 20-plus sports. No way they can fund them.

New Big 10 members Rutgers and MD have each dropped 7 minor sports in the last 5 years.

Stanford sponsors 16 men and 20 women sports. Last time I was on the campus, it appeared every sport had a first class facility although some are shared.

Harvard has the most sports....Endowments are nice to have. Stanford's coaches are endowed chairs, even some of the assistants thus the school doesn't pay for many of the sports out of operating funds.
