JJ said he had leverage against SMU on contract negotiations

Postby Rebel10 » Sat Dec 07, 2013 3:40 pm

The announcers said the he indicated that to them when they spoke with him. I wonder if he still thinks so.

Of course he thinks its true. He cannot be wrong. He is the messiah. Just ask him.

I only say this half jokingly... The next comments out of those guys was JJ felt this way because he has done so much for SMU

I was rather disappointed when I heard them say that. I wouldn't think that he would say that about his current employer.

looked like SMU's receivers benefitted from experience playing in elements. IPF is a trophy to show recruits. Important in that respect. I have never believed it really makes much of a difference competitively.

Cold weather is fine to practice but you still have heavy rain and lighting. Also they could not have practiced yesterday. Plus it does help in recruiting to coaches that are good at recruiting.

Pope was outstanding. Just shows what a cluster this program is by having no depth @ RB.
I appreciate the Line family connection, but 29 ain't no RB, ok, maybe a blocking FB @ best, but thats not part of the offense.

You can really see the signs of poor recruiting with the depth @ the QB, RB, DL, DB's.
I guess you can almost go to ever position.

Pope was a running back in high school wasnt he?

He needs to get most touches, he can flat out play.

Zach didn't break out until his Sophomore season. Don't give up on Line, P.

To late now. We did burn his redshirt his freshman year with 3 carries.

You mean needed. He is a senior now. Could have used him earlier in the year but it seems like he is bent on keeping Line in the line up.

that would be great...except that he probably played his last down of football today. He left nothing on the field
