RiceLooks like they're well on their way to their first conference title in over 50 years. Good for them.

Forgive me for missing that one ![]() BOP - Providing insensitivity training for a politically correct world since 1989.
Re: RiceWe can talk all we want to about how CUSA is a worse conference now, but even when we were in, it wasn't that difficult and we never won the championship. Wouldn't it be nice to actually have one under our belts at this point. Even our current conference doesn't include world beaters and we aren't competing at the top. Frustrating.
Re: RiceWe competed very well in the AAC. Other than 1 game we lost by 3 (triple overtime), 3 and 4 points.
Saying we aren't competitive in the AAC is silly. And in CUSA we would be even more so. Mustangs Abu!
Re: RiceTX Tech went to the Cotton Bowl in 95 and got blown out by SC and Keyshawn. Good win for Rice. Wonder how many were at the game.
Re: RiceY'all it was 1994 for Rice and 4 others.
The Rice coach said that he would tell recruits that they had a SWC championship (while out recruiting). I also mentioned it on a post before. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:1 ... _standings
Re: RiceWow I forgot that SMU tied Aggy that year. Nice talk from a 5-6 Rice team.
Re: Riceyeah in the year there was a 5 way tie Texas Tech actually got to go to the Cotton Bowl and got trounced by USC 55-a lot Less.
