Right on Topper. Definitely should have started him over Line.

great job by Pope, Burcham i thought showed alot of moxy and upside, and the whole team battled. Calls didn't go our way, the PI on Acker really hurt. They also called us for several holdings and none on UCF all day. Yeah, its football, they were holding too, especially on the edges.

maybe Pope should have started, but Line was pretty damn good out there for a freshman i thought. he ran hard.

Line is going to be better than Zach

I guess that is why he started over Pope because he is just so good.

Or maybe because pope was a linebacker until SMU had a series of injury at rb.

A lot of people on this board aren't high on Line, P. but I thought he ran hard and played well today for a freshman. Sure Pope was the one with the breakaway speed that had the big runs, but I thought Line was a good compliment with Pope today. Im excited for his future, hopefully paired more with Knlemchi

I agree there is too much Line bashing going on. I also remember how much improved Zach was as a Soph compared to what I saw from him as Frosh. I will reserve judgment on Prescott until I see how he develops

Pope was awesome. He has been a great player for us.

Pope played great. I hope Prescott and KC watch some of Pope's runs. The one run around the right end, we turned up field and ran hard. A couple of plays after that, Line P. ran around the left hand side and got about 8 yards away from a defender and started his stutter steps. Line P. is big enough he should run hard and fast (as fast as he can) when he turns up field.
