Someone must be taking Spanish from our favorite professor. Can't we just pass these kids like "real" programs do?

If anyone on our team becomes ineligible academically, it is clear that SMU doesn't give a [deleted] about winning. This falls on you R G Turner

You're kidding, aren't you? SMU is a school first, and a damn good one.

Look Corso he is not talking about giving them a free pass. I believe he is talking about academic support.

If you truly believe that academics plays a role here, then you don't understand college BB, you really don't.

actually Rebel, MOST if not all of the major programs simply give them a free pass. They are here to further hone their job skills in order to make a living. Don't know if there is anything necessarily wrong with that either. Let's see, I can make $200k per year in Europe for the next 6 years by perfecting my jumpshot or study Art History and end up with a degree so I can 'maybe' earn $30k.

When will we know about academically ineligible players? And am I right saying we are fearful for KF?

SoCal gets it. 90 percent of kids including bench, at big time programs, make good money playing somewhere. This is job training, same as most undergrads go through, relative to their chosen majors. Get this kid eligible, whether he attends a class or not, cause he was brought here to ball, not diagram sentences. This is also his livelihood in 18 months

It's ironic that the job training for our athletes has a much better chance of panning out than all the liberal arts majors we shove through Dedman. Oh, hey, you got an international affairs degree? That's awesome. I'll take my coffee bold, w/ room for cream and sugar.

I have this from a buddy in a certain big mans class...said the big man hasn't been to class since the season started. (Which I'm not sure how thats possible because I've seen the sign in people outside of classes before)
Apparently he's not very interested in learning how to speak another language.
