Emeritus or Executive Head Coach
Looking at the success of Larry Brown via pure prestige, how can we replicate? We are unlikely to dig up a similar legend in football to be a.coach for us that still has the motivation and abilities. BUT!
Is there precedent for a head coach paired with an 'executive' head coach? Is there a legend living in Dallas that we can use for prestige and legitimacy in recruiting but doesn't have to do the full head coach role?

Bobby Bowden and Jimbo Fisher essentially had that arrangement at Florida State before Bowden was pushed out.

Re: Emeritus or Executive Head Coach
about 15 years ago Gene Stallings could have been that guy-but SMU wasn't ready for that yet. Art Brlies is a modern Gene Stallings personality-wise

A lot harder sell for a guy not in dallas currently like switzer. He would be on the ticket daily if he were here though. Who kived in dallas now?

Jerry Jones. He seems to think of himself as a football coach.
