I can't imagine the school paying a football coache's salary without the help of an organization like the CofC. This has become a norm within college FB now days.
If we did this, donations to the school - athletic-wise & academically - would fall off drastically. Every statistic made available the last 30 years shows this is exactly what happens when FB falls off the table in D-1 - even RGT admitted this awhile back.
I can't imagine the administration making this asinine decision but then again ---
BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!
For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

They will get the help of the Mustang Club just not the CoC. If any of this is true.

Well if this is the case then we should just close up shop.
Possible options for Ford Stadium: 1) Paintball arena (Duke Nukem-esque) 2) Giant go cart track 3) Race Track (limited to shetland ponies all named Peruna) 4) Robot wars (presented by SkunkWorks lab) 5)....
Would make a pretty nice soccer stadium to replace Wescott

Time to kickass and chew bubble gum. And I'm all out of gum.

And June did supposedly push for Larry Brown to be hired. So we might actually start seeing some fruits from this seed money after all.
June did not push for Larry Brown to get hired. He encouraged Larry Brown to hang in there while they where interviewing other candidates.
OK, fine, but I cannot imagine he didn't let his support be known… anyway, my post was only to throw him a small bone. I still think the money spent has not been a total disaster, but certainly not what CofC or us would have hoped.

Problem is that our men's soccer program sucks way worse than fball. It should be closed down as well if we can't get a real soccer coach and so far we have seen nothing from casper that would indicate any changes are coming.

Yes we'd still be in the AAC. Probably would have gotten our invite around the time Tulane and Tulsa did (once it was clear the conference was going to morph into the old C-USA).
They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security

Good point sbsmith. If Tulane got invited we would have as well for market value if nothing else.
