Re: Orangebloods: Mack stepping downWho's been saying Saban to UT for almost a month and a half? This guy.

Re: Orangebloods: Mack stepping downTCU beat writer at Star Telegram tweeting that Saban will go to Texas based on "reputable" UT source.

When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.
Re: Orangebloods: Mack stepping downIf it's really $11 million he would be crazy not to go... Bama has put $7 million on the table now. We are all going to have to wait and see how this plays out.
Re: Orangebloods: Mack stepping downHas Gosselin spoken on this? He apparently knows more about college football than we've forgotten.
Re: Orangebloods: Mack stepping downHe's busy preparing "His Recruiting Doesn't Matter" story for next signing date. Some NFL reporters are so beat down about having to cover College Football but they always that one because they can just pick out a few exceptions and don't have to actually waste time with all that recruiting stuff

Re: Orangebloods: Mack stepping downHis story would be partially correct. If the goal is to be competitive with the worst teams in football, recruiting doesn't matter.
Re: Orangebloods: Mack stepping downThese coaching searches are annoying in the age of twitter
Re: Orangebloods: Mack stepping downThe Board of Regents meeting is going to focus on the future of UT President Powers. The Board is a nest of vipers and includes a number of members who don't appear to have UT Athletics high up on their agendas as long as the program is making a lot of money. One of the regents, Wallace Hall, supposedly an enemy of Powers, is under investigation by the legislature, which includes some pro-Powers people, and a House Committee has warned the regents not to make any personnel decisions until the investigation is complete.
Mack says he "hasn't decided to resign," meaning that he may decide to resign. I suspect that his immediate future is pretty much tied to Powers' immediate future.
Re: Orangebloods: Mack stepping down
Yes, anyone that wants a coaching change is part of a nest of vipers. I see your agenda. #HammerDown

Re: Orangebloods: Mack stepping downSo Sabin can be had for $11 million?
SMU has to have $11 mil lying around someplace. Wait, $100 MILLION? nevermind. This will go badly for Texas, I can feel it.
