I like this idea.. a lot. Id also pay good money to see the look on RGT's face when he pulls up in his 7 series beamer and sees ponyfans attempting to tear down the bleachers in westcott on a saturday morning.
Let's do it!

I have access to a hammer, tons of nails, and a few screws. Get'er done. If we build it they will come.

If SMU has a lead donor in hand, then that project will get sent to the head of the line. Don't forget that the golf deal was announced six months ago. So that it already in the works. I don't know anything about the Tennis Center.
Tennis Center is a priority because we currently have no tennis courts at all. The SMU Boulevard Courts were demolished for the Bush Library and the courts by Dedman Center were demolished for new dorms. So the courts are a need, rather than a "nice to have"
PAYING for the Tennis Center is a priority because it looks to be about 50% complete. They are building it on the old Mrs. Baird's property. Also, I kind of like the idea of a tennis center because it will give SMU the opportunity to host Pro and Pro Am events. I'm unaware of any other facilities of this kind in the region. Good for Dallas, good for SMU. That being said, I'd rather have a cutting edge IPF/Sports Medicine center. But rather than just a blow-up dome, I'd like to do it right and make it something unique that we can really market.

Retractable window wall on Mockingbird side of the stadium. Let's be the first university with a retractable roof stadium. Also fills need of IPF

Didn't Destro already build that?

I've fixed a few holes in wall in the dorms back in the day, so I can help with drywall. I'm also very good at hitting my fingers with a hammer. We can just "borrow" all of the construction equipment from the moody guys

Speaking of Moody, drove by their last night and crews were there working. Don't know if they have gone twenty-four seven to have everything completed for December graduation or not. Hope things are still on track.

Man, having Pro tournaments here again would be awesome. I miss WCT Finals at Reunion, place was often packed and electric. And, correct me if I am wrong, but didn't SMU girls get to be hostesses/usherettes at that event? Mid thigh skirts, Cowboy boots and hat… good times!
Beat the hell out of anybody!
