Once again, Baylor-A&M trash talk on the SMU board shows how far we've fallen. When the pony express was around, we got trash talking on our board between ND-USC fans, Mich-OSU fans and UGA-Fla fans. Real rivalries. Ah, those were the good old days....

Actually, there were BBS boards (or something similar) as early as 1982 or 1983. Sure, most of the people on them were discussing Star Trek or whether Darth Vader was lying about being Luke's father, but a ND-SMU debate from back then was theoretically possible.

If you think it was a fluke then you don't know jack about college football. By calling it a fluke the very thing you are doing is taking away from Baylor playing lights out, degrading their victory. On a side note i think that the series is starting to swing back to Baylor's favor just like it was before A&M's long win streak. The 8 games prior to the Aggies win streak went in Baylor's favor 6-1-1. I see Baylor starting to regain the advantage in this series and win 6 or 7 of every 8 games just like the good old days.

...yeah, you're right. I used to go over to the Southwestern Medical Center with my then-girlfriend and 'post' on the boards over there. She kept talking about something called 'fortran'????

LOL... Baylor besting us in a series... your 6-1-1 streak was the only time in the HISTORY of the series that you really had any streak. Even before the 20 year streak, we still had a lead on you guys by a healthy margin.

Baylor beating A&M on a consistent basis could happen if we were still in the SWC. A&M has tons more to offer... facilities, stadium, atmosphere, better nightlife, coach with a track record, and history. Baylor will be lucky to have a .300 winning percentage against A&M each decade.

Flukes happen, and when good teams like A&M have severe off nights (like Clemson-Duke, FSU-Wake, etc.)and the underdogs play lights out that stuff is going to happen. I'm not taking away from the fact that Baylor played lights out that night.

The point I am making is that A&M was looking ahead to OU (and if you don't see that you're ignorant), and we had a very uncharacteristic night of mistakes.

One thing I can promise, is that A&M WILL NOT look past Baylor this year. My prediction.... A&M 45 Baylor 14.

On a side note, unlike many other Aggies, I don't think it will be another 20 years until you beat us again. I think the series will probably have a Baylor win every 6-8 years, much like your series with Texas has gone.

I dont dislike aggies, but excuse makers are just plain gay. And you can say we will only beat you every 6-8 years, but I am very confident that that wont be the case... We will have our fair share of wins against yall in the future

I expect an objective reply here from you guys on this. How exactly do you plan on beating A&M/Texas/Tech on a "more regular basis"? I don't know what green and gold kool-aid is being consumed over on baylorfans.com but you guys seem to think you can start being 4th or higher in the south....

Based on what? You won't just start beating out the big three, OU, LSU, Arkysaw, etc. in blue chips. You don't have anything to offer in Waco over any of those schools. So, the bottom line question is how do you expect to climb out of the cellar?

Really? Not if past history is any indicator. Let's look at this series the last 4 decades in number of wins each decade.
1960s
Baylor 5 A&M 5

1970s
Baylor 4 A&M 6

1980s
Baylor 4 A&M 5
1 tie

1990s
Baylor 0 A&M 9
1 tie

Only the streak ravaged 90s is out of whack. This looks pretty close to a 50/50 split to me pre-streak. Now that BU is back on track and moving forward i don't see any reason why this series won't go back to its very competitive history.

you're comparing current times to SWC times. It will be a lot harder for you to be competitive now, than back then. You have a lot more recruiting powers to overcome, and you have been 6-66 in Big 12 play.

Not to mention, your school is located in Waco, and you don't have any nice facilities or history to offer.
