That was the mantra of our previous AD. Haven't heard that statement coming from our current AD. However, it would appear that the mantra had little to do with the previous AD's actions.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

smells like TCU is investing in assistant coaching staff. Article mentioned that he was expected to receive a substantial raise from Tech salary. Not as surprising that they outbid UH for Meachum-nut Meachum was getting a decent $300,000 from UH. . Again if were my money I would fund the salaries of a new SMU assistant coach payroll long before I'd worry about an IPF

When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.

This ^ We've had a fabulous bball practice facility in Crum for several years but our recruiting only improved when got a staff that knows how to recruit! and knows how to sell SMU. Football would be no different. Can't put the cart before the horse.

The new HC, or if JJ stays we must force him to bring in new assistants focused on recruiting, not golfing buddies. Hart has to make some sort of change or it'll be another nail in the coffin

Anyone who thinks ipf is our main priority is incredibly misinformed and doesn't pay attention to this program

JJ has hired his guys. How would he know how to hire a good recruiter on purpose?

I don't know if he knows how. Anyway since Neuheisel has been out of college football for 2 years and has very little Texas connections this should be a prime JJ hire.
