This Sunday must be killing Zach Line

Postby MiracleOnMockingbird » Sun Dec 15, 2013 12:38 pm

Adrian Peterson and Toby Gerhard are both injured and inactive.

That tells me Line would be starting if he hadn't been placed on IR 10 weeks ago for what (by the account of Sports Illustrated) was an effort to "stash" him more so than a true season-ending injury.

As competitive as that guy obviously is, he must really have a long face today.

Yes I know he's supposedly a "fullback" now but I think eventually the Vikings would have figures out he's better suited as a halfback. He's not a sprinter but neither is Toby Gerhard.

Yep and by the looks of it, he could have had a breakout game

Toby Gerhard ran a 4.48 40 at the combine.

Can we drop it on all these zach line threads? I went to school with that guy for 4 years and never knew a bigger [deleted]. Guy would always try to start bar fights, just a huge jerk in general

Zach seemed like a nice kid to me. He was in my Sports Law Class in the APSM program. I talked with him a few times outside of class. He was always very nice an down to earth.

I spoke at length with his parents before the Temple game and they indicated he was not hurt. The Vikings did not want to release him and put him in the IR. You are right as they are "stashing" him for next year. It was painful yesterday to watch the Vikings and see his competition get 4 TDs

I spoke to Zach and Prescott at Milos for like 45 minutes the day he made the vikings while he was on a short trip down to Dallas. I congratulated him on making the team and he then spoke with me for a while about everything smu football and he couldn't have been nicer. Same goes for prescott Ive ran into him a few times and always has been polite, its one small sample size but could definitely see other players starting bar fights way more than him.
