It never is. The athletic ticket office is the epitome of efficiency. I solidified my opinion of this dysfunctional "department" when I purchased extra football tickets at the ticket window from a guy wearing a Texas A&M cap. Can't find their ars with both hands.

They may have other issues, but when they are supplied a seating chart from which to sell tickets, and it is wrong, I think there may be problems elsewhere.
I will say I had another experience where I purchased tickets for a BB game to be picked up at will call. Found out after arriving they had sold available seats from a game the week before. The seats in the section I had requested were not available. They put me elsewhere for the first half and were able to move me to where I wanted for the second half.

That is quite unbelievable. Un-freaking-believable to be exact.

Yeah. I complained about the person assisting with the loading of the shuttle buses one year wearing a UT jacket and sitting in a UT fold out chair.

I know we complain about a lot of piddly stuff around here but people working for SMU and wearing paraphernalia from other universities is completely unacceptable and should be a firable offense.

Now that I think about it, would it be against some employment law to forbid an employee from wearing another schools t-shirt, hat etc? Maybe I am maybe making it too complex....seems like such a basic thing.

I'm not sure anyone under 45 really sees A&M as a competitor of ours any more than SHSU is

I feel like I should give an update. So I talked again to the ticket office today and they had come up with an option that I felt was fair and much better then what they were offering me yesterday. I managed to get tickets that I think as a whole are fair replacement for my center court tickets, I'm now around the top of the 3 point line but I am substantially closer, so overall I felt it was a pretty fair trade. My only lingering concern was the priority I would have going into next year when it comes to renewals, but the ticket office assured me that it was going to be noted in my file and that they would not forget the circumstances of my tickets.
Like I said I was upset when this happened but I will give credit that they did there best to make it right. I am glad to report that they made it right as far as I am concerned. Overall it's the kind of mistake I would have expected from an Aggie and not SMU but what can you do.

Show up early for the first game and keep you stubs handy in case they have sold the same seats twice.
