Why Not Desmon White

if SMU needed another 5-8 kid-why didn't we offer Desmon White the QB at DeSoto who well could be the 5A Player of the Year-oh I guess the Kyler Murray kid at Allen will be now since they barely got by DeSoto but seriously. He was waiting on an offer all year. Jumped at NTSU then jumped at TCU. I was OK with that because I hoped we were looking for taller receiver. Now its looking pretty damn stupid. But at least we get to see White play every year

He's got no offers B, moan etc etc.....what did TCU do correctly in offering him? Before they offered him his only offer was UNT....that's JJ style recruiting...

So why didn't we offer him again? By the way, TCU may do that every once and while but not for almost half of the class. I think we were 5-7 this season in a weak conference.

I think that's a fair criticism, but I will say that our class will be competitive in AAC from what I've seen. Only USF is cracking the BCS offers code. And only time will tell if the guy can coach/wants to stick with USF.

Aren't we trying to be competitive in conference? Isn't that how you build a program?

we are just about last in recruiting in the AAC last time I looked. Hell we were about No. 108 in average per recruit yesterday

We are almost last in recruiting in the AAC. Again only half the class has FBS offers. It's okay to have 2 or 3 with no offers but half the class is not good.

We were much higher with Tyler Harris which is a joke because we've got good depth at QB. Point is the classes higher than us don't have too many with offers either yet. I mean O'Leary was putting together a last place class before he flipped Harris. And UH should be just as upset with their class if we should be so disgruntled.

In your mind only there is depth at QB. Where were the backup scholarship QBs this year that were ready to step in an play competently. There were inexperienced QBs all over Texas and the AAC that did it. SMU backups weren't ready. I'd go so far as to say the SMU QB recruiting at SMU has been and will be a mess and was salvaged only because we miraculously got a reprieve from the immediate transfer from the No. 1 QB recruit in the Country coming out of high school

Yep this must be Corso as we were not much higher with Harris. And UCF was not putting together a last place class. UCF's class was good with or without Harris. This is typical JJ suckup revisionist history. But it shows you who this guy is. We are the only AAC class with half of the commits with no other FBS offers.
