I doubt they'd be allowed to publish anything like this.

I dont think thats true. It's my understanding the DC operates independently from the school and from time to time the school gets [deleted] off and what they publish
I was good friends with the editor from a few years ago and she once told me that the paper is only allowed to write negative things about Greek life. Anything positive might be shown as "favoritism". Not even anything about raising money for charities and philanthropies.

really? haha thats pretty typical. Sounds like good ole SMU

So the school does sensor things in some ways. That's the only reason I said that.
If we can raise the 2 Million to get June Jones bought out...then we could raise money for an IPF!!!

The IPF is paid for.

Where is it? If it is paid for I would have started seeing bricks being brought to Wescott field by now...

I'm skeptical about there being IPF monies as well. Not because they aren't building but rather the fact that they can't seem to afford helmet paint, gloves, etc. Also, wasn't there an excuse that they were going to add an indoor track and sports science facility to it, and they needed more money than was originally raised? Hart said this I think.

We have the money in a trust. We wanted to build across Mockingbird but June said no way. So instead we have to complete construction on the new quad (some call it the sophomore quad but that is a misnomer) and move soccer to Pettus before we get an IPF.

If June weren't so particular, we would have an IPF already

I can't speak to the extra facilities, but there is a gift or set of gifts specifically designated for IPF. Money given for Cap Ex is not reallocated for Op Ex

Only 8 people care enough about getting Jones outta here to contribute to it!?? I guess I'm with ponyboy and PlanoSyang then, let's shut up about it because nobody REALLY cares.

Calm down. It has been up since last night. Some of us haven't decided how much to give just yet

I have a couple questions:
 • How do we know the money given will actually go towards this goal? As opposed to someone's personal pocket book?
 • How do we know that money will be accepted and used by SMU for the purposes of buying out JJ's contract?

Over on a pay site one of the main founders said to stop ---it was over. I think that is what stopped everyone (if I find out differently, I will be contributing).
