Do you base that on the fact that he is not recruiting?
He's recruiting Ben Moore. Less work.

If he is there, ask him if he signed the extension.

I believe you will see/hear about the contract in an announcement tomorrow afternoon or during the weekend at the latest.

I'm going to do anything I can to dissuade (like I even had to do that) anyone from attending an SMU football game next year. If not for fear of ending up in the clink I would literally protest in front of Ford Stadium with a sandwich board of Jones' awesome 6-29 record against teams with winning records. What an absolute disgrace.
It's actually 6-31, including 3-19 against C-USA / AAC opponents.

Not to be argumentative with you, but you have used a lot of manipulated stats yourself, such as our historical record excluding the 80s when we were on probation, to show June is doing fine and SMU wasn't all that great in football. So you may want to not throw stones. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

How in the world is winning percentage a "meaningless stat"? I'd say that's the most important stat that exists...

When will people understand the limitations on the "record versus winning teams" stat???
The winning percentage stat does have some meaning but only as a totality.

ponyboy- please tell us how many teams won a national championship going 5-7 but claimed they beat every team where the talent was equal. Somehow I think the fball writers, AP, UP etc look at the w-l record to rank teams.

Remember, anything that makes June look bad is meaningless or unfair.

if the fans boycott and let the administration know that we're not okay with mediocrity, the public will understand that we as a fanbase really DO care about our program and that we are passionate about it. i bet even the players will find it admirable. so dont give me that crap about how if we boycott we're not supporting the team and that the players are going to feel hurt. they understand that the fans want a winning team and not a team that cant compete with decent teams. im sure they want the same thing. this is sports. fans get [deleted] when the ppl running the team dont do their best to create a winning team. and june and co are half-assing it. sometimes you gotta do something negative to create something positive
Judging by our attendance, we've already been boycotting this.

I am certain that I am just as subject to confirmation bias as the next guy and will admit my loyalist bent. It's how I'm built. Does anyone disagree with the idea that JJ has taken SMU to new levels post DP? Does anyone have to doctor stats to attempt to prove that? It seems from my polyannish perspective to be a forgone conclusion, but you're right that I don't want to manipulate to prove something that's not there.

One step up from not-sucking, with a foot in mediocrity...build that man a statue and expect nothing else from him for the rest of his time here!

Have I given the impression anywhere that I expect nothing from him? His recruiting is unacceptable and if I had the money he'd be gone.
