Unbelievable! For all the defenders, explain this

Listen to EJ's 12/28 recruiting podcast regarding SOC's 4-star DB Jamile Johnson. The first six minutes (the football part) will make you cringe and want to cancel your season tickets. Warning - for all the defenders, I recommend not listening. This happened THIS week! btw, this is not an isolated occurrence. It happens frequently. Nothing is going to change under this staff. We are the fools for accepting this garbage. I wish I had a spare 5 million and I would've ended this mess.


If you don't have time to listen to it all, listen to the 2:00-5:30. If you truly care about SMU and this program be prepared to get pissed off.

Inexcusable lack of professionalism by the football coaches...A local 4 Star comes to campus on his own and he doesn't get the football coaches to come over and just introduce themselves or say hi?

It's obvious that tiki-head fully intends to trash this program as best he can since he knows he won't be here after next year. He wants to make sure the next coach has nothing to work with and must start from scratch.

The most unacceptable thing is that JJ WILL NOT meet with a recruit unless he is on an official visit. Are you eff-ing kidding me???

No defense here. I soured on Jones at the ASU deal, and I do not subscribe to the pay sites so I cannot listen. But I was wondering, aren't we in a dead period? And if so, what rights do we have in speaking to recruits? I remember the incident with the Georgia kid where they could not return phone calls. Any chance any of this type of stuff is in play?

Again, no defense intended, just a question. I have never read up on the dead period rules.

This recruit's visit was before the dead period. It was during the weekend where several recruits visited. But during a dead period the recruits can not visit the campus nor can the coaches visit recruits at their schools. They can make the usual 1 call per week to recruits. They can also email they recruits as much as the want.
