Comments from Cincinnati coach:

“Their size is a concern for us,” said UC coach Mick Cronin. “Our two losses we were outrebounded. They get a lot of layups. They reverse the ball and they’re really physical on offense. They try to make you guard them inside first and outside second. On the other end, they do not give up layups. And if they do, somebody is probably coming out of the game.

Cronin is especially interested to see how AAC games will be officiated.

“Usually a league develops a flow to it,” Cronin said, “whether it’s the Big Ten or the ACC. In the old Big East, we all know it was extremely physical. We’re going to have a lot of new faces officiating so it’s going to be interesting to see how the games are called. It affects how you coach the game.”
