Not sure whose cupboard is bare. SMU only graduates 2 seniors this year and they are not the lead players. In fact their replacements have in essence already replace them. Cupboard looks pretty darn full to me with Mudiay en route and two scholarships waiting for top tier guys and/or saved for 2015.

I'm talking about what's left in the 2014 class.... The teams roster is going to be great.

I agree, but don't forget about JUCO. There's 1 or 2 out there who are studs we are looking at and could be great gets for us as well (2014).

That's a very good point Ojai. Hadn't considered that.

I don't think Brown can afford to let these ships sit. And I think he needs to go after JUCOs for some immediate impact on the wings. Really need some help even with Mudiay. He's only going to be in Dallas for a season so people might want to get used to that. And if he's here for more than a season, then he's been a disappointment.

Agreed. Its tough to get in the mindset that an smu player will be one and done. But I'm not complaining

Definitely not complaining. We can be one and done U if it makes us top ten consistently. I'd take what UK has done, wouldn't you?

The one JUCO guy I'm high on is Willie Atwood. I think he's exactly what we need. I am very familiar with where he's from (I played football against his high school every year and let's just say the safest place to be when you were playing there was on the field . . . dudes' at that school used to put massive band aids on their helmets . . . you know, just because they could and no one was going to tell them they couldn't). So, you have to be very very tough and usually very athletic to come from where he's from. Scrappy, tough athletic SF scorer with a year of JUCO to mature him? Yes, please.
