It is my understanding that the Manzel Family are a bunch of rich, crooked, old school Persian gangsters living in Texas. My information comes from people who grew up in the same towns and had run ins with the Manzel Family years ago.

My former college roommate was from Tyler. They were pretty well tide in to the Tyler scene. According to him and his family, the Manziel family name is despised in that part of the state.
There were several stories written about the history of the Manziels after JF won the Heisman, they were not flattering stories.

I am just surprised that the media has not picked up on the history of the Johnny Manzel's Family. I believe it was his grandfather or great grandfather who actually paid of someone to go to jail for him after murdering a man years ago. Why does the media not tell the real Johnny Manzel Story? I know it is not his fault that his Grandfather or Great Grandfather did what he did, but let's be honest, the story of paying off a man to go to jail for him is just one of many stories that could be told about the Manzel Family.

They did. There's an article somewhere. Is your Google down?

Just find it interesting that ESPN and other sports networks can pump up the image that is "Johnny Football" and not report on the questionable, less than flattering picture of his family. How many stories have you seen on ESPN talking about athletes and their families that were less than flattering? Off the top of my head... Maurice Clarrett, Warren Sapp, Tyrann Mathieu (The Honey Badger), Aaron Hernandez. The media seems to find lesser stories about other famous athletes with no problem. What is so different about Johnny Manzel and his family? Maybe the Manzels are paying off the media to keep them quiet :)

This.

I hate the Aggies, and I hate Manziel, and I hope he fails in Jacksonville, or wherever he ends up.
