Re: A message from Coach Brown to the students coming upYep. No more booing. A polite golf clap should do it.

Hail to the Red and the Blue. S...........M............U Moody Madness
Re: A message from Coach Brown to the students coming upmaybe I'm wrong - but i don't think the booing was coming from our students….it sounded like it was coming from both ends of the upper seats.
Re: A message from Coach Brown to the students coming upI might have been booing
![]() SMU-12 NCAA appearances, 1 Final Four
2014-15 & 2016-17 AAC Men's Basketball Champs
Re: A message from Coach Brown to the students coming upI'd be booing. Screw the opponents. This isn't a white tie affair. It's a basketball game, you come into Moody, you walk out with a loss and a lot of heckling.
Re: A message from Coach Brown to the students coming up
tru dat SMU-12 NCAA appearances, 1 Final Four
2014-15 & 2016-17 AAC Men's Basketball Champs
Re: A message from Coach Brown to the students coming up
Exactly. I'm so tired of the SMU country club bull [deleted] BOP - Providing insensitivity training for a politically correct world since 1989.
Re: A message from Coach Brown to the students coming upI'm not going to lie, I talked A LOT of [deleted] when I played. However, I really feel it's more about celebrating YOUR team than bashing the other team, UNLESS they give you something to bash them on. For example, I was definitely in on the Chris Herren chants (he deserved it -- he was kicking our [deleted] and was a big time [deleted] at the time . . . I also was part of giving the Arky team with Corliss Williamson an earful because they had some Memphis guys on their teams who, at the time, I felt were thugs).
So, I say be as nasty as you can against the Houstons, TCwhos, aTms, etc etc. But, respect the solid team. (Be LOUD but no reason to say nasty things against a team we don't have a history against, etc). As far as I'm concerned, Houston and Memphis are fair game (as will Tulane be next year). Eff those schools.
Re: A message from Coach Brown to the students coming upThanks coach- well done
and for the record, I was booing as loud as possible
Re: A message from Coach Brown to the students coming up
You just described the greatest coach in the history of American sport, John Wooden.

Re: A message from Coach Brown to the students coming up
I think Coach Brown is talking about when the team enters the court that's all. During the game on bad calls etc is fine. Let's try to do what Coach Brown asks. Now let's still be loud and stuff during the game. "We will play man to man and we will pick you up at the airport." - Larry Brown

Re: A message from Coach Brown to the students coming uplb wants the team to play the right way.
he also wants fans to behave the right way. i don't blame the students. for most of them this was their first smu sporting event.
Re: A message from Coach Brown to the students coming up
Students did a wonderful job. Students were not the ones that were booing when UConn came out. "We will play man to man and we will pick you up at the airport." - Larry Brown
