The difference is our basketball team will be back before we all die (like this year)... Your football team on the other hand hasnt had a pulse for quite sometime
Patrick Dennehy used to have a pulse too right?
Yeah before Dotson saw him.

Apart from the disrespect for Baylor's record, the basis for any optimism at SMU this year is that Bennett will be able to redshirt all but one of the incoming freshman this year. The cupboard is no longer bare. The one disclaimer is the unsettled QB situation. We still don't have the obvious offensive leader that it takes to inspire confidence in what SMU can do. But Baylor may not be any better off at QB than we are. Finally, if usually reliably informed Stallion takes shots at Baylor, then the mustangs do have a chance to win.

here's a pretty interesting stat. Baylor's starting QB threw 6 TDs and ZERO Ints while SMU's starting QB threw 6 TDs and 13 Ints.

Coach Phil has not yet named a 'starting QB'.

Talent that he and his coaching staff developed and recruited as assistants and coordinators. The talent is developing at Baylor, believe it or not. Look at the rankings if you want, but we'll be much more competitive in the Big XII this year, and able to play with anyone in the conference in 2006.

ahhh no you won't. You are nowhere near UT, OU, OSU, A&M or even Tech. In fact one of your most recent recruiting classes has been called by MANY Baylor fans (not to mention recruiting experts) the worst in modern Baylor history. Now if you put together about 3 more recruiting classes like last year you might be competitive in two games in the Big 12 South in about 3 years. You ain't even close to competitive right now.

Every league needs somebody to finish last every year and Baylor has proudly assumed that role since they got lucky enough to get in to the Big XII (thanks to that wonderful governor, Ann Richards) and will hold that proud position now and well in to the future.

Face it, man, like SMU, Baylor is a doormat, and will remain a doormat for the foreseeable future. This game next week should be called "The Battle for the Golden Doormat" with the loser having to take it home.

Interesting viewpoint in that it directly contradicts all statistics and evidence.

there is not a single recruiting source that would rate your talent even in the same league as the other schools in the Big 12 South. Don't be blowing that smoke in my face-because anybody who follows recruiting knows you are making a total fool of yourself by claiming otherwise. There is a reason Baylor is the UNANIMOUS choice for doormat of the Big 12 South.

First time poster, long time reader of this board and the old MM. Member of the 1500. Stallion finally got me to respond to a post. I am so happy that Stallion has found another school's program to explain how poor their recruiting is other than ours.
