Yea, one needs to be careful when entering a premises where beer and college students are afoot.

The reponses on this very thread are goofier than the responses on DMN.com. Five park cities residents responded, three against the idea. But what about the very reasonable two people who agreed with the idea? No one has even mentioned them.

Look, any time you do this type of poll, you're implying that the subject is controversial. And when it's controversial, most people are going to be against it. Heck, the implication of the whole damned thing is that SMU is selling beer to underaged college students. Who, other than the students themselves, would be FOR that?

Well at least you'll have great stopping power with the .45

I would agree that most of those whining about the beer likely have never set foot in an athletic event at SMU. For the most part, our fans are about as well-behaved as you can find anywhere.

"Shirley Miller, North Dallas: When a couple of drunks get into a fight and wind up shooting each other in the bleachers, maybe SMU will get an idea of what they have done. Maybe they can send to Colorado for some marijuana and sell it at halftime."

God save the child of Shirley Miller. Probably steps out of the house everyday in protective padding with a lecture on the dangers of marijuana cigarrettes.

When are you going to pay up on your Chad Morris bet with CenTex? We were waiting for you at Barley House last Saturday.

I forgot about this haha I would like to be present to see this happen at barley as well

He also owes me booze as well, but I'm sure he lives in Houston or is in high school so, CenTx and I will never get our free beer :(

It (beer at games) seemed like a nice social opportunity for SMU fans. Come early and meet others. I saw no negative events. The only spilled drinks I saw were large cokes. I would say it was a great addition to the game day experience.

I don't know about you but I saw several fights. Elf boy broke several up when he pulled his pistol out. Just thankful he was there or there could have been several murders due to the beer sales

Sorry I left you out blackout. I think you were the first on the bet.

Let's just call him a welcher on any thread where he posts something ridiculous. That might slow him down a little. He has yet to respond to my challenge on this thread, but it is worth a try.

Aw, come on...isn't it much more fun to bag on people who don't coach the football team? We've dramatically expanded the pool of nuts to UP/HP bubbleheads!

there are plenty of nut jobs in the park cities, but most of the really stupid comments were not even from areas that would be effected by all the wilding that will obviously occur at Moody.
