Sadly, yes. I don't understand how our Athletics Department can just sit idly by while we are left at the bottom of the pile in the have nots.
Goal should be to increase our athletic budget to BCS levels if we want to be competitive, and that means start spending more than $30 Million in Football instead of the actual $16M.
Troll, for the record, the BCS no longer exists. Neither does the Big East, and in case you forgot, we're not in the Big XII. Just your friendly reminder, which you will disregard.
BCS is what is used to refer to big time college football programs...in other words, programs that reside in conferences that automatically qualify their champion to play in one of the BCS bowl games.
The Big East is the name of the conference we joined, that renamed itself the American Athletic Conference.
The Big 12 is the continuation of the SWC and the Big 8 after the two of those conferences merged and took Texas, Aggy, TTU and Baylor and purposefully left out SMU, TCU, Rice, Houston. TCU was recently added due to Aggy leaving the conference and the need to provide a regional rival for Texas Tech, Baylor and UT...a role which SMU or TCU could have filled but TCU was in a better position in terms of their football program than we were (Rose Bowl, Fiesta Bowl appearances, 10 win seasons, new stadium and facilities, etc.)
I am fully aware of all these things, buddy.
