Ok, I know. I have WAY too much time on my hands. But I thought I'd share this to start a fun thread.
Here's my prediction on how the next 3-4 years of SMU basketball goes.
2013-2014: Bubble team that squeaks in to the Tourney. Gets great press. Ends the season JUST outside the top 25. 2014-2015: With E-Man and one other scorer, we make a huge splash on the national scene. We get to the Sweet 16. 2015-2016: HUGE recruiting class! Top 5 national ranking. Sign 2 five stars (either Diamond Stone or Elijah Thomas and one other) and 2 four stars (DJ Hogg and somebody else). We get a verbal from Terence Ferguson who ends up being #2 recruit in the country by now. 2016-2017: Final Four run. SMU now a legitimate elite bball program. LB hands off the program to Jank at season's end and on we go. Where we go from here, I don't know.
What do you think? I know this is a best case/sunshiner scenario. But, I think it's actually quite realistic. Maybe not the tourney part, but the recruiting part is.

Rebel is gonna be all over you for jinxing this damn team is what I think But I agree, this team is getting into the tourney if it takes care of business. Next year, looking at at a top 7 seed if Mudiay is as good as advertised.

We're a top 40 team this year. Right at. Not top 25, IMO. I see legit top 25 by January, 2015. Something like that.

LOL. As far fetched as it may have sounded a few years ago I think he is at least headed in a good direction. But we do need another scorer need year. Maybe Dominique Matthews?

I don't know but it really needs to be addressed next year. Mudiay will obviously be a help and hopefully Frazier progresses from just a pure jump shooter. Handles need to improve and he needs to fine a way to get to the basket from the wing. Scoring is at a premium with this team, nothing is coming easy, transition buckets need to go up. Everything is coming out of the half-court it feels like and it's very stagnant at times.

Struggling or being stagnant on offense is not an opinion tonight.

Points should come easier. Guards won't be pressing 90 feet like Louisville. Hopefully Moore doesn't get into foul trouble either.
