Have a hard time seeing Houston being a sellout....but the other 3 should be for sure.
Well, us youngens really don't like those Houston [deleted] very much. The student and young alumni turn out for that one should be really good

Keep in mind that the way the lights dim on the crowd, the only time the players and coaches really look into the crowd and can see everything is pregame (the crowd was late arriving because of traffic) and during halftime, when the champions club and concourses were packed.

yes, I see Sunday being pretty low
But the overall quality of the crowd will be better.

This: SMU went into the game ranked fourth in Division I in field-goal defense, allowing 36.5-percent shooting, and held South Florida to 32.1 percent.
That is one of the most promising stats. With our menacing defense and protection of the rim, we are going to be a tough out.

Maybe we should follow the lead of the Academy Awards and have seat fillers for the floor seats. They have volunteers to seat in the seats of the guests who are late arrivals, need to slip out for nasal decongestants, etc. The seats always are full when they pan the crowd.
Not a serious suggestion, but it doesn't look good when you see empty red chairs on the telly.

I thought the crowd was solid last night. It was late arriving, but the crowd went up to the last 4-5 rows all the way around.
It was disappointing to see an entire row empty in front of me in the red seats. Third row up just off center court should never be empty.

Official crowd was just over 6300. I know some seats will be vacant as they are out of town season ticket holder's.
Crowd sounded good on TV. Especially the students when Stan Heath's kid got the ball. Its hard to see the crowd on TV because of lighting. Crowd shots are dark on TV except near the floor.

Yes, I finally saw a girl in the student section midway through the 2nd half. Total sausage fest last night.

It was.... But honestly we filled up our sections (mostly), so its not a major issue. And also the reason that it was a little thin on the band side is everyone was packing in to the other sections. I could hardly breathe in the mob section during the first half because all the kids wanted to go into that section regardless of if they had a ticket there.

Panhellenic, I believe. Glad to hear the crowd was pretty solid, and solidly pro-Mustangs. Too many football flashbacks of dominant crowds from the opposing team. Can't wait to get my first Moody experience in. 23 days...

I saw an usher turn away at least 20-30 students near the band section and point them elsewhere. Maybe they were filling up other sections before opening that one?
