I have heard that Timmy Chang has a new job at Jackson St - maybe as an Off Coordinator.

What a strange move. You would think he could do better than a school nobody has ever heard of. And you would think he gets paid more as an asst here than head coach there. Weird

I think if you post this same, tiresome diatribe just one more time that everybody will realize.

Everybody already realizes it. PonyScott is just posting for emphasis.

JJ's run off the only two guys that has made this program better and upstaged his authority, Klemm and Mumme. Coincidence?

I had not heard that June ran mumme off. Where did you hear that?

Kind of looks to me that coaches who know there will most likely not be a position for them at SMU after next season are seeking out opportunities now while they still have employment.

Yep the staff and coaching industry knows this is June's last year. So they are moving on when they get another opportunity.
I can assure you that all the coaches are calling around and looking for another gig. I'm sure with JJ's blessing.
Thus, the replacement will be either an internal hire or a coach currently unemployed. No one will leave a secure job for a 1 year gig.

We just have to work through next year then hope will once again spring forth with a new coach.

June really should have been open to negotiating a reduced buy out. This next season is going to be a whipping for all of us, including him. Can you imagine having to show up every week knowing you are done, and trying not to be totally embarrassed on the sidelines? Feel sorry for next years seniors.

So he'll be the coach until July 1 2015, or does the new coach get hired after the season and JJ is moved to another position until June 30?

New coach comes in when he is hired. Source is credible.

So what is the buyout between 12/31/2014 and June 30, 2015? January 1, 2015 begins the peak hiring season.

What a turd June's first extension has been for SMU...and what a 180-degree shift in motivation...
